Description
The first generation Hudson Super Six also known as the Series H was introduced in 1916. The Super Six was an early performance car. Its 288.5 cu in inline six-cylinder engine developed 76 hp compared to the 40 hp of the equally dimensioned engine in the Hudson Model Six-40. Befor its public debut, Hudson made a series of speed runs in Super Sixes on a track in New York. This was followed by a new record setting transcontinental run from San Francisco to New York, then a stock chassis speed record at Daytona Beach, a record at Pike’s Peak, and a 24 hour stock chassis record.
